PROGRAMME ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Master of Science in Nursing
  1. The general regulations for all Masters degrees in the Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) and the Board of Post Graduate Studies shall apply
  2. Holders of Bachelor of Science Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Midwifery from MUST or other universities recognized by the Senate.
  3. Registered by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)
  4. Holders of a valid nurse practice license
  5. Must have at least two years’ relevant work experience
  6. For international students, the academic certificate must be certified by CUE and the nursing practice license be verified by the NCK
Duration: 2 years   Mode of Study: Part-time   Campus:Main campus
Tuition fees per semester: Ksh. 60,000

 

Bachelor of Science (Nursing) Have a Minimum of C+ (plus) in K.C.S.E with a minimum of C+ (plus) in each of the following cluster subjects:
Mathematics or Physics, English or Kiswahili, Chemistry, Biology/Biological Science.
Bachelor of Science in Health Systems Management Be a holder of K.C.S.E with an aggregate of C+ (plus) and C (plain) in Biology and both Mathematics and English/Kiswahili
OR;
Holder of a Diploma in Health Records or Information Systems from K.N.E.C or its equivalent.
Bachelor of Science in Midwifery Be a holder of K.C.S.E with an aggregate of C+ (plus) and C+ (plus) in each of the following cluster subjects:

Bachelor of Science (Nursing)
Upgrading Programme
K.C.S.E. aggregate of ‘C’ plain in Nursing from a recognized institution OR KCE/EACE Division II and Diploma in Nursing OR KACE I Principal and 2 subsidiaries plus Diploma in Nursing.
At least two (2) years working experience after attainment of the Diploma in Nursing.
Registered with Nursing Council of Kenya and must have a valid practice license.
Duration: 21/2 years   Mode of Study: Full-time, intensive 2 days using blended learning (face to face and online)  Campus: Main Campus (Nchiru)
